Appeals Committee window opened for Elections related disputes

The FKF Electoral Board’s Appeals Committee has on Monday, October 28, 2019, opened its doors to any disputes concerning the nomination exercise which culminated on Wednesday last week.

The committee is set to listen to appeals and disputes submitted to it between today, Monday, and Wednesday, after which the committee will issue verdicts, which will be final and binding.

“Section 7 of the Electoral Code provides any aspirants, who were not happy with the decisions of the board, recourse in the Appeals Committee,” said Board Chairman Prof. Edwin Wamukoya.

“Aspirants who wish to lodge appeals will be required to pay a non-refundable fee, as is stipulated in Section 7 of the Electoral Code, and thereafter send their appeals physically to our address, or on the appeals committee’s email address,,” he added.

The Board had earlier on Thursday last week revealed a preliminary list of candidates for the County and National elections.
