The FKF Electoral board has on Thursday, November 21, undertaken a training and briefing program for Returning Officers ahead of the upcoming county elections to be held this weekend.
The training was to ensure the Returning Officers are able to follow and understand the FIFA, CAF and FKF statutes and rules fully and to explain the actual procedure of counting and announcement of the winner in the stations.
Electoral Board chairman Prof. Edwin Wamukoya expressed his expectations of the Returning Officers on the election day.
“The Returning Officers have been issued with a list of eligible voters in their stations and as soon as every person on the list has voted, they will close the station publicly and proceed to tally the votes, thereafter, announcing and issuing the winner with a certificate publicly,” said Professor Wamukoya.
He continued, “The voting stations will be active from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, depending on the number of voters assigned to a station.”
